I go up and down a pound per day. That's why I weigh-in daily...I look at the past week and can tell if a given "up 1 pound" was just a fluke or part of a trend. For me, it helps avoid the "ugh" feeling.

I log my weight daily so I can spot treads. It could just be an off day...

LOL! If I "really do some caloric sinning", I'll be up 4-5 in a week and unless I'm over-zealous, it won't be gone by another week.
